Raiko are large, seagull or pelican-like creatures that are found in the Ocean skies searching for prey.
Behavior[]
Once Raiko has spotted its prey it will grab onto it and attack it. It will eventually drop its prey once it gets high enough. It can carry mobs and players, much like the Roc and Quetzodracl. It is advised to kill it before the Raiko has gotten too high to prevent deaths from fall damage.
Spawning[]
Raiko can spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:
- Ocean
Raiko spawners can be found in Dungeons (Vanilla).
Taming[]
Much like a garden variety of other mobs in the mod, Raiko can be tamed, and will require you to make avian treats for them before you can do so. In order to try and tame one, you will likely need more than one treat, because these mobs are greedy and will try to kill you at the same time.
If the Raiko wants more treats, it will say so in the chat. If not and it stops attacking you, it will read, “The Raiko seems to love you now!” Congratulations, you’ve tamed a mob you can fly around! Now all you’ll need is a saddle and pet armor (for extra protection) and you’re ready to take to the skies.
Sub Species[]
For every Raiko that spawns, there is a 10% chance for it to be an Uncommon variants. Azure Raikos have whiteish-blue wings and dark blue on their tips. They also have purple beaks. Golden Raikos are like normal Raikos but have a goldish yellow tint.
Pet Raiko Abilities[]
Raikos gain the ability to pick up mobs like a Roc and Quetzodracl. Once a mob has been picked up it will apply the weight effect to the mob. Due to this effect, mobs will eventually fall. Raikos can also swim underwater but they cannot breathe underwater.
