Description[]
Lurkers (now known as Ostimien since 1.12.2) are giant, hostile insect mobs that attack the player and deal the instability affect.
Spawning[]
Lurker can spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:
- Swamp
- Spooky
- Forest
Lurker can not spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:
- Cold
Lurker spawners can be found in Lush Tombs (Lycanites Dungeon) and Dungeons (Vanilla).
Behavior[]
Lurkers attack the player quickly and then back up to avoid being struck in retaliation. While their bites are not particularly strong, they deal the instability effect. This causes the player to randomly jolt about the place and take fall and/or kinetic energy damage from being thrown into walls or up into the air. They drop poison glands when killed.
