Erepede are large, rock looking insects that roam around hot biomes and shoot anything that comes near to it. They are also one of the easiest mounts to obtain, as insect saddles and insect treats are relatively easy to obtain.
Behavior[]
Once Erepede have spotted its prey it will start attacking it with shots that weaken its prey. Erepede often like to hunt Jousts and Crusks
Spawning[]
Erepede can spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:
- Sandy
- Wasteland
- Mesa
Erepede can not spawn in biomes that have the following biome tags:
- Cold
- Snowy
Erepede spawners can be found in Desert Doomlike Dungeons, Mesa Doomlike Dungeons, Desert Crypts (Lycanites Dungeon) and Dungeons (Vanilla).
Taming[]
Much like a garden variety of other mobs in the mod, Erepede can be tamed, and will require you to make insect treats for them before you can do so. In order to try and tame one, you will likely need 20 -40 treats.
If the Erepede wants more treats, it will say so in the chat. If not and it stops attacking you, it will read, “The Erepede seems to love you now!” Congratulations, you’ve tamed a mob you can ride around and fight with! Now all you’ll need is an insect saddle and preferably pet armor (for extra protection) and you’re ready to take fight mobs.
Sub Species[]
For every Erepede that spawns, there is a 10% chance for it to be an Uncommon variants. Uncommon Erepedes can be Golden or Ashen. A Golden Erepede is a gold tint of the normal version. An Ashen Erepede is a gray tint of the normal version Uncommon Erepedes have higher stats than a regular Erepede. This does not change their behavior.
Pet Erepede Abilities[]
Pet Erepede gain the abillity to shoot mug shots that weaken its target. it can also be mounted on and it has a massive speed boost on sand, but is normal speed on other ground. This pet could be used as a support pet to clear structures with lots of mobs or spawners.
